CARLING
We made five films about five mates and their small moments of friendship turned into huge, dumb, epic adventures throughout the space-time continuum. All shot by Fredrik Bond, the first two won Gold Lions at Cannes and apparently would have won a yellow pencil except for one juror who dug his heels in, like in Twelve Angry Men.
The World Cup film was a pre-digital live ad. We recorded every conceivable score-line and had to phone up ITV as soon as the whistle went and get them to play the right one. It was a nice idea, but the pub where we watched it turned the sound off. Still, bit of fun innit.
